How to reach us

Camerino is located 60 km from the east coast of Italy at the same latitude as Perugia.
It is three hours north east from Rome by direct bus or train connections, or by car.

For international air travellers

International travellers can arrive by plane in Rome and travel by train from Rome to Camerino,
or alternatively take a domestic Alitalia flight to either Perugia or Ancona.

An easy way to get to Camerino from an Italian airport is to hire a car.

The closest airport is Ancona Falconara airport which is 1 hour car drive from Camerino.
Ancona airport is served by direct flights
by RyanAir from London, by Alitalia from Rome and Milan, and by Lufthansa from Munich.

Camerino is reached from Ancona Airport as follows:
There is a railway service between Castelferretti station (in front of the Airport terminal) and Castelraimondo/Camerino station, with one change at either Fabriano or Albacina station.

Alternatively take a taxi from the airport to the central Falconara Marittima train station and then take the train to Castelraimondo/Camerino station, again with one change at either Fabriano or Albacina station.
Finally, from Castelraimondo/Camerino station take the connecting bus to central Camerino.

There is a local rental car company in Camerino costing 35-45 Euro per day.

How to get to Camerino by car

  • From Rome/Naples
  • Follow the A1 until the exit for Orte. Continue to Foligno.
    At Foligno turn onto Statale SS77 in the direction of Macerata, crossing the mountain pass of Colfiorito.
    Continue to Serravalle and then follow the signs for Camerino.

  • From Florence/North-west
  • Take the autostrade A1 until the toll booth Val di Chiana. Go towards Perugia and then towards Foligno.
    At Foligno turn onto Statale SS77 in the direction of Macerata, crossing the mountain pass of Colfiorito.
    Continue to Serravalle and then follow the signs for Camerino.

  • From Pescara/Foggia/Bari
  • Take the autostrade A14 until the toll booth Civitanova Marche. Turn onto the superstrada (SS77) in the direction Foligno/Roma.
    Stay on the superstrada until it ends and then follow the signs for Camerino.

  • From Bologna/North-east
  • Follow the A14 until the exit for Ancona Nord. Follow Statale 78, passing Iesi, Serra D. Quirico. Exit from the SS78 and then follow the signs for Camerino.
    Continue past Cerreto d'Esi, Matelica, Castel Raimondo.
    Alternative: Take the autostrade A14 until the toll booth Civitanova Marche. Turn onto the superstrada (SS77) in the direction Foligno/Roma.
    Stay on the superstrada until it ends and then follow the signs for Camerino.
    This alternative is longer, but it follows a more comfortable and quicker route.

How to get to Camerino by train
  • From Rome/North-west/South-west
  • Get to station of Fabriano on the Rome-Ancona line. Take the local train for Civitanova Marche and get off at the station of Castelraimondo-Camerino. Take the connecting Contram bus marked with destination Camerino from the front of the station.

  • From Ancona/North-east
  • Get to station of Fabriano on the Ancona-Rome line. Take the local train for Civitanova Marche and get off at the station of Castelraimondo-Camerino. Take the connecting Contram bus marked with destination Camerino from directly outside the station.

  • From Pescara/South-East
  • Get to the station of Civitanova March on the Adriatica line. Take the train for Fabriano and get off at the station of Castelraimondo-Camerino. Take the connecting Contram bus marked with destination Camerino from directly outside the station.

How to get to Camerino by bus
  • From Rome
  • There are direct Contram S.p.A. bus services to Camerino from Rome, Piazzale Tiburtino, leaving most days at 7:20 am and 2:40 pm. The trip takes 3 1/4 hours.

  • From other cities
  • There are direct Sena S.p.A. bus services to Camerino from Pisa, Florence and Perugia. The nearest stop to Camerino is Muccia (8km from Camerino). The trip from Florence takes 3 1/2 hours. You may have to take a bus-taxi from Muccia to Camerino.
